Everyone know who "Americans" are. And they aren't Peruvians, El Salvadorans, Canadians, Mexicans, etc, etc. etc.
IOW, when someone utters the phrase "Ugly American", we *all* know that he/she is *not* referring to someone from El Salvadore!
