Several months ago, it became apparent from a discussion here (and info
elsewhere) that there was a significant memory leak in Xfce4. I think that
it had something to do with Gtk but couldn't swear to it.

Has anyone heard whether that hole has yet been plugged?

Because of the memory leak(s) I moved to openbox from xfce about a year ago.
The memory leak(s) are in the xfdesktop4 package. According to the BTS, those
bugs have not been fixed.

I'm sorry to see a good lightweight desktop manager go the way of the big ones
because of this and am surprised the memory leak(s) still haven't been fixed!

I'm currently using xfce4 from unstable and don't experience any memory
leaks. Please post the bugnumber.

Andrei
