In order to track this down to [ bug | configuration ] I'd suggest you
temporarily move your .mozilla directory out of the way (when all
firefoxes are closed), say
$ mv .mozilla backupmozilla
in order to force iceweasel to create a new profile for you. (Cleaner
still you could temporarily create a new user 'testmozilla' and test on
that account).
Does it work that way?
