You could either start thttpd before removal (invoke-rc.d thttpd start) or remove the offending script /var/lib/dpkg/info/thttpd.prerm and then 'aptitude remove thttpd'. This is probably a bug in the thttpd dpkg scripts.



Thanks, that solved the problem with thttpd...but now I get the following error message from aptitude:
