If you are asking that kind of question, I would stay with Etch. Look
at the advice you've had so far. There's no reason to upgrade from
Etch unless there are specific newer software packages that you feel
you must have to get your work done.

If you are fairly new or uncertain about upgrading, you should
probably wait until they freeze Lenny before upgrading, at which point
if you want to upgrade, search on "upgrading from etch to lenny" or
