Ok i've rebooted again and still the same. I've looked in /etc/networks and it has a line link-local 169.254.0.0 what is this for, as this was nearly the ip i get when the network connects to the router and gets its own ip. (169.254.176.243)] -- mitch@sand-hill.freeserve.co.uk
