last night i installed 'hotplug' and after rebooting several of my hardware devices did not work. as best i can make out, the problem is with the way hotplug loads drivers. is there any way i can go back to the state of things before in installed hotplug? 'apt-get remove hotplug'? thanks, tom arnall arcata
