It automatically marks the mail you retrieve as deleted 2. It will add a "Delivered-To: your_gmail_address@gmail.com" header which is incorrect as far as I understand from Charles Cazabon (developer of getmail). Also, gmail will relay email for you but it will rewrite the From: to your gmail address, so you can't use it for other addresses (OTOH you don't need to care about proper settings in your MUA or MTA).
