LostSon, I just removed kde (which I had installed)
from my Debian Etch system(Dreamlinux, Debian Etch
w/xfce).

What I did was search everything kde w/apt-get, and
start removing packages carefully. I started with kde
libs and continued
on from there.
Apt-get is great and will warn you of any dependency
issues.
Perhaps there is an easier way, but that method worked
for me. :)
