Multi Writer Problem

Hello, I am a noob to linux. Just installed last week. I have Debian
4.0 installed and updated on a fresh machine. I am using Gnome as the
GUI. I am trying to get Gnomebaker to burn an .iso to disk yet it
fails. This is the text that I copied from Gnomebaker:
wodim: No write mode specified.
wodim: Asuming -tao mode.
wodim: Future versions of wodim may have different drive dependent
defaults.
scsidev: '1,0,0'
scsibus: 1 target: 0 lun: 0
Linux sg driver version: 3.5.34
Wodim version: 1.1.2

Beginning DMA speed test. Set CDR_NODMATEST environment variable if
device
communication breaks or freezes immediately after that.

FIFO size : 12582912 = 12288 KB
wodim: Drive does not support TAO recording.
wodim: Illegal write mode for this drive.
I have tried with it set to DAO,SAO,TAO, Auto, same thing.
The thing that is wierd is the scsi part. This drive is SATA I, along
with the Western Digital hard drive.

Here is a copy of the ls of the /dev/disk/by-id:
ata-BCD-48SB_CD-ROM_MT1102A_Firmware
ata-WDC_WD800JD-75MS-WD-WMAM9TT57577
ata-WDC_WD800JD-75MS-WD-WMAM9TT57577-part1
ata-WDC_WD800JD-75MS-WD-WMAM9TT57577-part2
ata-WDC_WD800JD-75MS-WD-WMAM9TT57577-part5
scsi-SATA_WDC_WD800JD-75M_WD-WMAM9TT57577
scsi-SATA_WDC_WD800JD-75M_WD-WMAM9TT57577-part1
scsi-SATA_WDC_WD800JD-75M_WD-WMAM9TT57577-part2
scsi-SATA_WDC_WD800JD-75M_WD-WMAM9TT57577-part5
Sorry for packing all this info in here, but I wanted to be thorough.
I don't understand why the scsi reference to SATA? Is there a driver
that I need to install? By the way, what is with the two disks? There
is only one SATA drive, why one ata and one scsi-SATA? Also come to
think about it, why the part 1,2,5 and no part. I formatted with a
single partition and /swap?
