There are several application packages that break with the 2.20
version of libwnck-common (the soname of the library binary package
has been bumped, so I think there must be ABI changes). I have been
using aptitude (I normally use Synaptic) to resolve dependencies with
the GNOME 2.20 transition. It's resolutions seem to make more sense to
me (keep back a few packages instead of removing scads of
GNOME-related packages just to install a new version of a library), so
that may be something you might try.
