Is there no easy way (using debian > packaging) to get an upgrade to Thunar without moving from etch to sid? backports.debian.org or pull the source from sid and build the package on etch. probably not a big deal and there are gobs of tutorials on how to do it so that you generate your own .deb and install it using the regular tools A
