are you trying to *install* over wireless? I suspect that's not
supported, but probably do-able. You'd have to switch over to a VT
early in the install and make sure to install and configure the
modules to get the wireless working. You may have to download the
appropriate modules and support software onto some media (floppy) and
then get that all running outside the normal installer operation, then
switch back over and continue the installation. You should do some
research on wireless installs of debian. I did a cursory search and
found nothing more than people speculating whether it could be done.
