No problems here.
qemu is a real emulator, it can even emulate an ARM or PPC machine.
So x86_32 on x86_64 is really easy for qemu !

I had a Win98 and a WinXP 32 bits guests on my AMD64 (Intel core 2 duo on SID) 
host.
