reluctance to switch from Windows XP to Vista, Dell and Linux

Dear Debianists,

I found some recent articles on google that suggest that Windows Vista is not displacing Windows XP very easily... It also seems that Dell has some demand/interest for Linux. Even MIchael Dell seems to be using Linux (Ubuntu) these days.

Here they are:

People and companies don't seem to want to buy extra hardware etc to get Vista. They seem to be happy enough to carry on with XP or even Windows 2000 in some companies I work with.....

Your comments on these trends are appreciated.

Regards

Michael Fothergill
