Hi

I had exactly the same problem on a desktop: this problem happened
suddenly and never went away (I reinstalled eclipse from scratch but...
no way).  On the same computer, under Gentoo I'm not having this problem.

The only solution I found was to re-install Debian and the problem went
away (actually I installed Kubuntu this time)

I had also filed a bug report at sun, but got no answer...

Please, keep updated should you find a better solution
