The site that I ran into mentions all three in combination as the best
way and even shows the config files one needs. I haven't tried any this
yet, so perhaps tor alone is enough.
Perhaps, if you have the time, you could take a look at this and see
what you think.

I'll try it tomorrow most likely. I am curious if it will let me watch
some content limited to residents of the US and Canada. I am not
optimistic, and should probably spend my time doing more constructive
things than watching tv, even if it is on my computer.
