I agree with you Paul, and intend to raise the matter with the company when I return to Canada. All they need to do is ensure that their site conforms with the W3C standard. (Because MSIE does not completely conform to the W3C standard, people who don't know any better than to use MSIE would probably have problems. If so, the solution is to tell them to switch to Firefox.)

As for boycotting companies which basically test their sites only on MSIE, I would like to boycott them. However, this particular insurance company underwrites the largest group health plan in Canada, covering all employees of the federal government and their dependents, the Canadian Coast Guard and RCMP members and their dependents, dependents of all military personnel, and all pensioners from the foregoing services, over 300,000 people. I could not get elsewhere the same coverage for anything like the price. So we will have to put up with dealing with the symptoms instead of the problem for some time yet.
