I'm using the 1.0.2 version of vmware server and have tried both Sid and
Etch as well as Ubuntu Edgy as host OS's. This is happening on a
Toshiba Tecra A4-S211 laptop. I've also installed Win2K just to see if
it will install on this machine, and it did so with no problems.
I have noticed this behavior on my laptop (Compaq Presario M2000) too.
It did this for both WinXP and win98. both guest OSes installs without a
hitch but the clock is completely botched. I didnt bother to dig in to
it as I'm not using win os for any time critical applications.
I'm running vmware server 1.0.1 on Debian Etch stock kernel.
I could swear that this behavior was not there when running the same
vmware server+same guest os on PCLinuxOS which I had before installing
Etch but cant confirm this as I dont have PcLinuxOS anymore.
