But that's not a stanford.edu (or any big European technical Uni)
address, is it?

I also am an IT professional, and work out of my home.  But I can't
get ADSL either.

If your neighborhood can't get ADSL, what the heck does it matter
whether you are an IT professional or Debian GNU/Linux Consultant?
