Is this console screen or Xorg?
LCD or CRT?
Sub-pixel rendering?
If Xorg:
is it only the fonts?
What window manager or desktop environment?
All apps or just some?
What happens if you change the fonts, toggle anti-aliasing,
toggle hinting (as available).
