yes. I'm not arguing, just saying its perfectly reasonable for lots of
people to be running 2.4.27 as its the "stock" kernel in sarge. ANd
its not all *that* old is it? I think the 2.4 series is up to about 2.4.32
or so, but debian has 2.4.27-3 or so as its latest in the series.
