Or does glib use symbol > versioning to prevent that? well, since gnucash runs, it doesn't... they use guile-g-wrap to interface guile reports and scripts into gnucash (which is written in C). Perhaps that is enough of a seperation that it doesn't matter? IANA gnucash developer, so you'd do better to ask them, to Thomas Bushnell, the debian maintainer. A
