Sorry, but I know several DD's which earn more then US$ 6000 per month
and why and why should they work more on Debian as needed?

I myself earn more too but I am NOT a DD or DM since I am currently
working over 16 hours a day and 7 days a week...

I have some packages which I have uploaded to <http://mentors.debian.net/>
bit since I have no spare time, they maust wait for an update.

I have to pay an Enterprise Creation Credit of over 500.000 Euro where
260.000 are left. I think, from my own experience, that I am not alone.

IF Debian pay a couple of Developers (even 12 month a year) I
would accept it... Since Fulltime-DD's can get stuff running!

And from what should DD's live?

Drinking sourcecodes and eating Bugreports?
