Re: how to connect to smb printer ?

   Sorry for the delay ..

   Hello.
   im trieng to connect to smb printer (printer that is connected to
   windows workstation)

   when i try to use Kprint and choose smb printer
   im unable to open the shares on the sharing pc im getting the next
   error :
   using anonimus:
   NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
   using user and password on the windows workstation:
   it won't show the pc at all.
   using guest
   as user with password

Can you see the printer when you run

smbclient --user=USERNAME --list=HOSTNAME

when i do via command line i can see the shares :

Domain=[HOME-7CWB9DIL95] OS=[Windows 5.1] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]

Sharename Type Comment

replacing HOSTNAME with the host name of the Windows machine and
USERNAME with your user name on that computer? (You will be prompted for
your Windows password.)

This should help us figure out if it is a general SMB permissions
problem or something specific to the KDE print manager.
