Traffic on eth0 don't match up

Hi guys,

I'm curious. We have a server that has been up for 121 days, and since
it started the first time, no services, including networking has been
restarted - everything has been running since day one and is still
running fine (Sarge). The box uses between 5GB and 10GB of bandwidth
per month. Yet, if I do an ifconfig, the RX and TX values don't add up.
Do they roll over at some point?

mercury:~# ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:14:85:51:48:9B
          inet addr:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Bcast:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Mask:255.255.255.252
          inet6 addr: xxxx::xxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:40779047 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:42475473 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:1297711764 (1.2 GiB) TX bytes:3094597721 (2.8 GiB)
          Interrupt:185 Base address:0xec00

Thanks
Hans
