This is not wigth, since the libraries of Gnome and KDE are realy huge
and want to have dependencies satisfait. I have already tried it on
Test-Machines and on KDE app install the first bunch of 10 MByte libs
for a second app there are some libs missing and it installs again
5 or 8 MByte.
I am Debian GNU/Linux Consultant and must maintain over 700 work-
stations of my customers, which mean, I have to watch out for Bugs
in KDE or GNOME and more. This costs time an money!
With each release, it comes more and more difficult to maintain
cusomers Workstations.

Depends on GTK are OK. - GNOME and KDE not!
Please note, theat Applications for GNOME AND KDE can coded without
depends on some 10 Mbytes of libs which will make apps usefull for
ALL configurations, WindowManagers and Desktop Environements.

If you have an application wich use libkde32 (or something like this)
and there is a Bug in it, do you want to maintain 700 Workstations
and perform updates in less then 24 hours (contractuel)?
Good luck!

Are you right? See the bullshit with "rekall", "knoda" and "kexi"!
"rekall" was the only one which was working WITHOUT KDE or GNOME,
and now its gone! - Fuck!
And why do Debian need three similar programs which do the same thing?
Conde a program and look at <debian-mentors> for a sponsor!
They will tell you something about! - Argh!!!!
This is like a dependency loop!

But unfortiunatly it is... since those which want to be individual and
use only fvwm are cuted to older apps which are "not more supported"
and deprecated since GNOME and KDE exist!
And Yes, - I hate the world to how it is currently!
And since µ and Novel/SuSE are playing now together...
...I am waiting for the first Virus hiting GNU/Linux using KDE or Gnome!
Thanks, Greetings and nice Day
