I agree with Kent.

}} You also might try the linux26 option

because i've the same network card/adapter in my laptop.

}} INTEL(R) PRO/1000 PL

The only way to make work correctly my network card was to boot with 'linux26' option .

}}try the beta debian-installer

Also with stable release.
