Well, not the last time I tried (about three months ago with etch.
The problem is that the DSDT is compiled with an MS compiler.
Apparently, if you recompile the DSDT with the intel compiler, it sorts
things out. But I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, because the
newest DSDT I could find (http://acpi.sourceforge.net) is older than my
BIOS, and I need the newest BIOS to resolve issues with *hold your
breath* ACPI, and other problems introduced by upgrading the memory to
2gb.
So currently I'm using SUSE on the notebook, which somehow makes the
ACPI stuff work properly.
I just finished downloading DVD1 of Etch Beta3 - will give it another
try soon.
