Which packages did you downgrade? I had a ton of problems with rc2-2
which were fixed when I went back to rc1-1. Here is the combination of
packages that currently works for me:
$ dpkg -l openoffice.org\* python-uno libicu34 | grep ^ii
ii libicu34 3.4.1a-1 International Components for Unicode (libraries)
ii openoffice.org 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org Office suite version 2.0
ii openoffice.org-base 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org office suite - database
ii openoffice.org-calc 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org office suite - spreadsheet
ii openoffice.org-common 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org office suite architecture indepen
ii openoffice.org-core 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org office suite architecture depende
ii openoffice.org-draw 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org office suite - drawing
ii openoffice.org-help-en-us 2.0.4~rc1-1 English_american help for OpenOffice.org
ii openoffice.org-hyphenation-en-us 20030813-3 English (US) hyphenation pattern for OpenOffice.
ii openoffice.org-impress 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org office suite - presentation
ii openoffice.org-java-common 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org office suite Java support arch. i
ii openoffice.org-math 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org office suite - equation editor
ii openoffice.org-writer 2.0.4~rc1-1 OpenOffice.org office suite - word processor
ii python-uno 2.0.4~rc1-1 Python interface for OpenOffice.org
I had to use some --force-conflicts and --force-depends wrangling to
make dpkg install these from my package cache.
