Not sure about mutt, but when it comes to emacs, two packages come to
mind: planner-mode and org-mode. They do not sync with Palm directly,
but they work well with BBDB, from which data may be exported with
bbdbpalm.el or SyncBBDB.pm Perl module, so at least your contacts can
be synced.  AFAIK, Mutt can get information from BBDB, but I don't
know if it does it directly or uses LBDB.

To see the calendar and todo entries from planner or org-mode on Palm,
you can export your records to html and then upload the html file to
Plucker, for example. I know, it's most probably not what you've been
after :)
