no problem doing that...
i havent installed all too (because i dont see point in my nb where it's
unlikly that the hw changes...
if you install using aptitude...
just remove -all packages and by hand mark the input and video drivers
you need

using apt-get it should do if you just manually add the video and input
drivers to the list of packages to install...then it should see that the
deps are fullfilled and not try to install the -all debs
