I am having similar problems. My benchmark is trying to look at the
Doonesbury cartoon on the nytimes.com web site. Firefox always dies.
The box is an amd64-etch running gnome. There are times when firefox
does not die under KDE. Konqueror never crashes under identical
circumstances. I have filed a bug with bugzilla.

Anything that contains flash, such as www.groopy.co.il, I tried with both
1.5 and 2 beta. These work somewhat fine with opera (it does go a bit
crazy on most flash sites)

mozilla firefox keeps crashing on me very consistently lately. It
crashes almost immediately on most sites and disabling all plugins
doesn't seem to help at all.
Any sites on which it does it constantly? If so could you give a
URL so we can see if it crashes ours? Which version of Firefox are you
running?

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060730 SeaMonkey/1.0.4

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060719 Firefox/1.5.0.5

File name: libflashplayer.so
Shockwave Flash 7.0 r63

http://www.uclick.com/client/nyt/db/

WFM. It's something else: these 2 never die in db.

That url works fine but www.cnn.com crashes almost immediately. I will test it
out, but I am starting to suspect dri.

But that WFM also with the posted plugin + apps

Tested that and the hunch was a dud, flash crashes firefox even with dri
disabled. Happens with firefox 1.5 and 2.0. Without flash it works fine. Opera
works fine with the same flash plugin.
