gamin eats my cpu

gamin is running permanently on 15-25 % of my cpu load (as reported by top).

Is there any way to reduce this load?

I was about to remove gamin, but a lot of kde-apptlications depend on it.

NB: Most of the time I really don't care, if a file has been changed on disk or not. Especially there is no need for eg. kate to permanently look, if a file was changed by another application. z

Thanks!

Johannes
