Re: Wrong font in OOo menu

Follow-up to my posting yesterday.
As suggested, I created a new user and did nothing besides a "startx"
(choosing KDE as a desktop) and from the K-menu there opening OO-calc. No
trimming, configuring or whatsoever took place in the whole procedure,
just the standard was used.
And what a surprise, OO was back perfectly again. Even when I imported one
of my spreadsheets from the 'normal' user, the whole thing acted as it
should be. A 'warm reboot' just to check, still perfectly.
Well okay, I deleted .openoffice.org2 for the umpth time from my normal
user and copied that completely from the test-account. Chowned with the -R
option (as root of course) all the files for user:group. ls -al showed,
that seemingly everything was changed. A warm reboot (just to go the safe
way) and then, with crossed fingers and a hopefull expectation, a start of
OO under my normal user-account.
Then the windows shattered and the plaster fell fom the walls: I used some
very strong and loud and hard words. STILL those damned Greek characters!

What can I do now? Where should I look for the culprit further?

Isn't it, that the Debian-packagers of OO (yes it is testing in my case and
not stable) have overlooked some very important dependency or whatsoever
just to go on holidays and quickly release before that time a miserably
tested OO just to leave a clean desk? Or does aptitude not do its job
properly, what I doubt as this is the first time I have troubles in
updating an application?

     With kind regards,
     Peter Holm
