Oh, puh-leeze.  MySQL makes the application do all data validation.
 (For example, inserting an out-of-bounds number into an integer
will be silently accepted.)

PostgreSQL is more feature-rich (read Oracle-like) and suitable to
an ERP database.

Is "common sense" really valid?
For example, it is "common sense" to white-power racists that
whites are superior to blacks, and that those with brown skins
are mud people.
However, that "common sense" is obviously wrong.
