Thank you for taking the time to post this. I think it means that the OP
must have some non-Sarge libaries installed which try to link to
libcairo2 (and the same happens on my Sid system with the gimp binary
from Sarge, so obviously I don't really know how ldd works).
The reported bug (#379524) has been closed again.
