XFCE is installed in Etch here. If a user chooses Quit from the desktop menu, the dialogue displays Log Out, Restart and Shut Down options. Only Log Out is allowed. What changes in configuration will allow a user to execute Restart and Shut Down? Would be useful to give the user such permissions at the command line also. Thanks, ...
