restarting apache2 service



im having problems trying to restart the apache2 service.

when im trying to install or configure phpmyadmin the process cannot be completed because the sistem can`t restart
the apache2 service, because is supposed in use.

when i tryed to restart the service manually... here is the output

linux-debian:/home/hortiz# /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

this error is present when im trying install any package via apt-get... it ask me if i want to restart the apache2 service.. and then i got this error...
