A couple of points regarding this solution:

* seems to be a system-wide fix so all users are forced to use firefox

* if firefox is already open, a new window doesn't pop up when you click 
on a link in an email.  This can be annoying if the browser is on a 
different desktop!

Any ideas anyone?
