Any ideas on X on the 800CT would be greatly appreciated.

It is important to know the exact output of the following two commands:

lspci
awk '/Section "(Device|Monitor|Screen)"/,/EndSection/' /etc/X11/xorg.conf

If you can't copy/paste and email this directly from the notebook, then
it might help to redirect the output to a file, e.g. "lspci > lspci.txt"
which will save the information to the file "lspci.txt" in the current
directory. (USB stick etc.) If the Knoppix/UbuntuLive system has a
working internet connection you could use pastebin.com to transfer the
data.

First I heard of pastebin.
Wouldn't it be just as good to post the results?
