$ dmesg | grep eth0
$ dmesg | grep ath0

will tell you which drivers (modules) are driving which interfaces. the
'grep' will work assuming your ring buffer has not cycled the messages
out yet. also there are utilities to rename interfaces, so be sure that
isnt happening either.

this the hardware used by eth0 :

0000:02:07.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)

Upgraded to 2.6.12-10-386 Kernel (from 2.6.9) and nothing changed,
noting that the same file transfert will not block if passed through the wireless interface.

I have some news :
When frozen, it writes to the screen these lines :
[4294858.023000 ] ata1: command 0x35 timeout, stat 0x50 host_stat 0x24

isnt ata1 = sata thing ?
maybe a problem with sata driver ? how can i debug this situation please
Am lost
