I agree with you.  I simply responding to Steve's idea that even free
and open alternatives don't exist, we should do something.  For example,
if wireless card A has no free drivers, but there are drivers available
from the manufacturer under some ornerous license, we should provide
those since something (even under restrictive terms) is better than
nothing.  My point was that doing such things might make Debian to the
point where redistributing it becomes impossible.
