cannot read flashcard via pcmcia
Hi!
I can not read my flashcard via the pcmcia slot.
On my Gericom laptop I have installed the
Debian kernel 2.4.27-3-386,
package pcmcia-modules,
package pcmcia-cs.
"cardctl ident 0" reports
product info: "TOSHIBA THNCF512MMA ", "", "", ""
manfid: 0x0098, 0x0000
function: 4 (fixed disk)
I added an entry to /etc/pcmcia/config.opts as follows
card "TOSHIBA THNCF512MMA"
manfid 0x0098, 0x0000
bind "ide-cs"
I added an entry to /etc/fstab as follows
/dev/hde1 /pcmcia vfat defaults,user,noauto 0 0
I started the pcmcia daemon by
/etc/init.d/pcmcia start
I get three beeps. Changing to the directory /pcmcia, however, gives an empty directory; but my
flashcard is full of data (pictures).
Pls, does anyone know, what I did wrong?
