Re: Creating a "guest" account.

Hi,

I want to create a "test/guest" account. The login/password of this
account will be world-accessible. I will give this login/password to my
friends/father if they wont to download(upload) something that I leave
for them. (Friends will access linux by dial-up, but father through
net-card).

But I'm afraid that the guest account will be a security hole. What
should I read or do to make such account safe (secure).

It's better to use ftp for that, and use hosts.allow if you can get
fixed (or nearly fixed) IP addresses. My IP DHCP lease runs for
several days, and I never have lost it.

You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
