Greetings.
I just got done installing Debian onto a brand
spanking new Dell Dimension B110. The onboard graphics controller was
joyous fun to troubleshoot. I needed to change the buffer size in BIOS for
the chip to 8MB. It's an Intel 82865G chip.
The issue I'm having now is that the version of
pktgen (v1.3) that comes with Debian is broken. I get an error about my
machine not having a working cycle counter. This has been resolved
apparently. So I downloaded the latest and greatest pktgen.c.
My question is, how do I get this to compile and
then replace the current pktgen.o? I prefer to do this in a graceful
fashion..
Thanks.
