RE: md array not starting?

I looked in /etc/init.d/mdadm-raid  (enclosed below)

And saw that the script choses between mdadm and mdrun.

Funny thing is that if I execute "mdrun" it starts up my arrays.
Any clue to why mdadm fails, and mdrun works?
