You can put programs in the "Startup Folder".  That will fire up
the programs for you.

Auto-login, though, is a touchy issue.  Many people, myself included,
frown upon it.  Bad security practice, unless done right.  And
that means PGP-encrypted passphrases, secure communications between
the app and the "password server", etc.
