This is also what I've set up for my "small business", adding
SpamAssassin and excepting Amavis.

Works like a charm.  You can set up fetchmail as a daemon or to
run via cron.

The only downside is that the POP passwords are in cleartext in
the .fetchmailrc file(s).  File permissions will prevent other
people from reading the file, but, presuming the users all run 
Windows and aren't in the habit of editing text files in Linux, 
you'll have to write some network routine to allow them to change
that password.
