Re: do I really need "make-kpkg clean"?



Version tracking isn't important to me. I dont get it why i should need the deb either. And I don't like that the deb symlinks the kernel as the default. What if the kernel fails? Isn't it good then to have another one in the Grub menu?

? It doesn't take any longer, and you get version tracking and a nice
deb.  Seems like a no brainer to me. It's much more convenient than cp
and editing your bootloader files ...
